Frequently Asked Questions
Is Colon Therapy Safe?
YES. Colon Hydrotherapy is one of the most gentle body therapies and thus extremely safe.

Is Colon Hydrotherapy painful?
NO. In fact many people report their colon hydrotherapy sessions as being refreshing, relieving and relaxing.

How long does a treatment take?
Actual treatment time is about 45 minutes, but you should plan a total session visit of one hour in duration.\

How does a Colonic Hydrotherapy Treatment Compare to an Enema?
An enema only reaches the rectum and lower part of the colon (8-12 inches) whereas with colon hydrotherapy the entire length of the colon (the large intestinal track, approximately 5 to 5 1/2 feet in length) is reached. An enema will generally use higher pressure and often send the colon into spasm, thus minimal fills and extreme discomfort. Colon hydrotherapy, using lower pressures and and adeptly controlled temperatures, is many time more effective. According to learned centenarian, Dr. Norman Walker, one colon irrigation is equivalent to 30 enemas.

How Many Treatments Should I Have?
Every person needs different amounts of colon therapy to achieve optimum health.

Are There Any Risks?
Generally, there are no risks involved. On your first visit you will be required to complete a health history questionnaire. Based on your health history, your therapist will determine whether a colon hydrotherapy session is right for you.

What Equipment is Used?
We use the most comfortable, client-friendly, state of the art colon irrigation equipment available on the market today, the LIBBE "open system" featuring the following advancements:

  • A pencil-size, sterile, disposable rectal tube for gravity-fed inflow of water.
  • The release of waste into a toilet-like reservoir, without the chance of messy "accidents".
Comfort and Relaxation
With the therapist out of the room to provide you with privacy, you gently insert the sterilized rectal tube as instructed and then cover yourself with a towel. You control the water flow and temperature while the therapist assists the process. The therapist will also, if you feel comfortable, give you a stomach massage to help you have a better release. Reflexology (as it applies to colon hydrotherapy) is also applied during the session for a short time. Both of these are optional. Your session is between 45 and 60 minutes in duration.

How Much does a Treatment Cost?

  • Individual Session $65
  • Series of 3 $180 ($60 per session)
  • Series of 6 $330 ($55 per session)
  • Series of 12 $600 ($50 per session)
Missed appointments without 24 hours prior notice will be charged in full.
